The Open edX & EMOOCs Conference 2025 has come to a close, and what an incredible week it was! From June 30th to July 4th, our community gathered at Télécom Paris to share knowledge, build connections, and advance the future of open-source education.

Conference Highlights

Outstanding Community Engagement With 73% of attendees downloading our event app and 86% loving the Whova experience, our community truly embraced the conference spirit. We saw remarkable participation with:

  • 398 community board messages shared
  • 948 private messages exchanged between attendees
  • 132 photos capturing memorable moments
  • 1,720 profile views as people connected across the community

Impressive Attendance & Participation We welcomed over 350 attendees and 169 speakers from around the globe, with attendees from organizations like IBM, University of Turin, Télécom Paris, and Imperial College London leading the way. The diversity of participants enriched every session and networking opportunity.

Knowledge Sharing at Its Best The most popular sessions included workshops on mainstreaming AI in the training cycle, research tracks on generative AI and chatbots, and discussions on gender-responsive pedagogies in AI-powered learning environments. Our community demonstrated their commitment to collaborative learning.
