EdX Updates for the Week Ending 10 March 2017

March 17, 2017 | By

EdX follows a continuous release model. Updates are released to the platform on edx.org and edX Edge each day.

The following changes were released during the week ending 10 March 2017.

LMS

  • For a few weeks, discussion posts marked as anonymous would still expose the post author’s name. A fix was merged to prevent this from happening in the future. Any posts that were intended to be anonymous authored between February 8th and March 7th will still show the author’s username to other students.
  • We have extended the “view as a specific learner” functionality to the progress page.

Studio

  • The video ID field has been added to the “Basic” tab of the video component to simplify authoring.

Insights

  • We have added a csv download to the Insights Courses Page, including the data presented in the UI as well as enrollment data for all additional tracks.

For more information about these and other changes, see the edX Release Notes. You can access the weekly release notes, as well as all of the edX documentation, at docs.edx.org.
