January 6, 2017 | By

EdX has just released the newest version of the edX platform on edx.org and edX Edge.

This release includes the following updates.

  • Two new columns have been added to the Student Profile Report that course teams generate on the Data Download page of the instructor dashboard. The “enrollment mode” column indicates the enrollment track that each learner is enrolled in, and the “verification status” column indicates the ID verification status of each learner. For more details about these columns, see Columns in the Student Profile Report in the Building and Running an edX Course guide or Columns in the Student Profile Report in the Building and Running an Open edX Course guide.

  • On the Certificates page in Studio, the text in the sidebar has been corrected to indicate that course team members with either the Staff role or the Admin role can activate certificates.

  • On the Enrollment Geography page in edX Insights, instances of “country” are replaced with “country and region.” In the Using edX Insights guide, instances of “student” are replaced with “learner.”

For more information about these and other changes in this release, see the edX Release Notes. You can access the weekly release notes, as well as all of the edX documentation, at docs.edx.org.
