Hi,
Is there a way l can add energy by using an energy stream on a certain stage on a complex distillation column? Thanks

Open the ChemSep GUI.

In Heaters/Coolers, add a stage heat exchanger.

To expose it as an energy (inlet-) port, on the CAPE-OPEN tab, check the "Expose Energy Ports" option.

It is an input stream - you can change its value manually or connect it to something that will determine the value for you, such as an output stream of a heater or cooler that is set to heat or cool to a particular temperature.

what error message?

If you put an energy inlet stream, its value overrides the value you enter in the GUI
