Reaction in Absorber

Postby Chani » 29 January 2021, 10:56

Hello,

I am having some trouble adding a reaction to the absorption column in Chemsep. The reaction that occurs is:
H2O + SO3 -> H2SO4 with a reaction heat of −132 000 kJ/kmol.

I suppose the reaction type is Kinetic Equilibrium as the other options given is not possible. When I select this option for the reaction rate I have 2 rows: K-equilibrium and K-kinetics...

I have added reactions in COCO previously. Is there any way to add the reaction from COCO's reaction package to Chemsep?

Thank you in advance.

It is not possible to use a reaction package inside ChemSep as far as I know.

From the text that appears if you hover the mouse, I assume that K-equilibrium is the backwards rate constant, and K-kinetic is the forward one.
