Some PMEs implement support only for the newer, better defined and more efficient CAPE-OPEN version 1.1 standard specifications. Such implementations are unable to deal with thermodynamic servers that still only provide CAPE-OPEN version 1.0 support.
ThermoSystemAdapter remedies the situation by wrapping version 1.0 ThermoSystems (for which no equivalent version 1.1 Property Package Manager is detected) and exposing all their Property Packages via a CAPE-OPEN version 1.1 Property Package Manager.
